The Iowa Restaurant Employee Relief Fund

We Need Your Help

The tables at Iowa’s restaurants have always been a place to gather with friends and family to celebrate, grieve, conduct business and simply come together.  Our restaurant owners, servers, bartenders and chefs continually give so much of themselves to all of us. In this devastating time, it is our turn to give that same support back to the employees of Iowa’s restaurants and bars.  As a result of the mandatory suspension of dine-in services at all Iowa restaurants and bars, 82% of operators have laid off their staff. That leaves 1,000’s of people across the state of Iowa without work and a way to care for themselves and their families.

We are committed to working together to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic while supporting our industry employees and their families with financial assistance.

Please help by making a 100% tax-deductible donation. All proceeds will go directly to the Relief Fund.

The Iowa Restaurant Association, through its 501c3 Education Foundation (the IRAEF), has formed the Iowa Restaurant Employee Relief Fund to activate immediate emergency funding to restaurant workers. Restaurants are the cornerstone of any Iowa community, and the employees are what make them great, but many are facing the devastating reality of unexpected unemployment. With your support, Iowa’s restaurant industry and our dedicated employees can breathe a little easier knowing that this relief fund can assist them in paying rent and utilities, filling prescriptions, and putting food on the table for their families. Together we can make a difference.
